See the animal in his cage that you built,
Are you sure what side you’re on?
These are the “tour visuals†that were projected during live performances. Incredibly haunting.
More than a year after the last test build 120, almost five years since the last official release 4.50, 5.0 is here, baby! I’ll be having a beer in its honour tonight.
The skin’s updated a little, but the most obvious addition is album art support in the default skin.
Where nobody has a name
Where living is not a game
A beautiful song to conclude the memorable “Bloodsport Fairy Tale†arc from the anime Black Lagoon.
Gods of heaven gods of earth, the myriad of gods hear me!
天つ神 国つ神 八百万神等共に 聞こし食せAll sins of the world are no longer.
罪と云ふ罪は在らじとDispelling the shrouding clouds of tall mountains and scattering the veiling mist of low hills;
高山の伊褒理 短山の伊褒理を掻き別けSuch a proclamation, hearken!
聞こし食さむAll sins of the world are purified.
罪と云ふ罪は在らじと
Kannagi is a decent, if generic, anime comedy. The ending theme though, is something really special. Soothing, peaceful, even beautiful, it feels like a quiet, heartfelt prayer.

Its performance on Real Time with Bill Maher, where I first heard it, is probably the best solo performance I’ve had the pleasure of listening to in a long while*. So good I got his album Evolver, though I don’t like modern soul music. Unfortunately I find the album version overproduced, and so I consider this the definitive version.
* – I guess since Chris Cornell’s live @ O-baren in Stockholm bootleg. It is available on the torrents, so fire up your client, ladies and gentlemen.
A harrowing, brilliant cover of Heartbreak Hotel.
I was never a fan of Mario Bros (never did own a gaming console), but I am a big fan of Django Reinhardt, and this rendition of the Super Mario Bros. 2 theme by Adrian Holovaty in the gypsy jazz style is brilliant. Monstrous technique. Check out his other videos too.
On a side note, he is one of the lead developers of the Django framework.
Elvis can sing anything and make it sound great.
This was recorded during a rehearsal in 1970.
